Tennessee baseball and Auburn had a game suspended again and will play a Sunday doubleheader.

The No. 6 Vols and No. 11 Tigers will resume Game 2 at 1 p.m. ET Sunday, with Game 3 to follow 45 minutes later. Game 3 will be seven innings, according to SEC rules.

Game 2 went into a delay at 6:33 p.m. CT after Nate Snead threw one pitch in the 10th inning. It was the fourth delay of the weekend at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Tennessee tied Auburn 4-4 on a Dalton Bargo homer in the ninth inning with one out. The Tigers took a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth.

UT lost the first game of the doubleheader 6-1 in a game that started after a 35-minute delay.

The teams resumed the opener at 11:35 a.m. ET after it was suspended after a half-inning amid two lengthy weather delays Friday. The Vols trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the first when play resumed.

The opener was slated to start at 6:30 p.m. ET Friday, but was moved up to 5:30 p.m. due to the expected inclement weather. A delay was announced at 4:54 p.m. and a further delay was announced a half-hour later.

The game started at 8:02 p.m. in a downpour after a 2-hour, 32-minute delay and stopped at 8:16 p.m. as umpires deemed the mound unfit. The game was suspended after a 1-hour, 43-minute delay.

Tennessee (36-9, 13-8 SEC) has won straight series against the Tigers (31-14, 11-10), winning two of three at Auburn in 2024 and winning a pair in a 2022 series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee has lost back-to-back home series, the first time that has happened in the same season since 2021.
