APPANOOSE COUNTY, Iowa — A southeast Iowa man has been arrested and is facing a murder charge.
Dana Haub, 62, of rural Moulton, Iowa, was taken into custody following the death of Stanley Brown, 75, of Mystic, Iowa.
Just after 9 p.m. Thursday, Appanoose County sheriff's deputies were called to a location on 490th Street in Mystic.
When officers arrived, they found Brown lying in the yard. He died at the scene.
Following an investigation by deputies and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation agents, Haub was arrested.
Haub is being held in the Appanoose County Law Enforcement Center on a charge of first-degree murder.
Authorities are continuing to examine evidence and conduct interviews regarding Brown's death.
Investigators are not saying how Brown was killed.
