People-to-people exchange deepens Vietnam-Cuba special friendship

The seventh Vietnam-Australia Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong's meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, and the FDI flow into the processing and manufacturing industry are among news highlights on August 20 evening.

Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, voiced concern over rising incidence of sexual violence that hampers humanitarian access and essential services in conflict areas. He stressed the need to tackle the root causes of gender inequality while ensuring victims remain at the core of response efforts.

The seventh Vietnam-Australia Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM-7) took place in Hanoi on August 20, reviewing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and discussing global and regional issues of mutual concern.

The two sides agreed to boost bilateral connections by stepping up high-level mutual visits, effectively implementing the existing cooperation mechanisms, and perfecting legal frameworks for cooperation in various fields.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang has underlined that the elevation of Vietnam – New Zealand relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership earlier this year carries historic significance and reflects both governments’ strong resolve to translate commitments into concrete actions that benefit their people and businesses.

Party General Secretary To Lam has affirmed that from the very cautious initial steps to increasingly comprehensive institutional reforms, the Government apparatus throughout the periods has persistently laid the foundation for the country’s transformation.

Csukasi said Uruguay considers Vietnam as a priority strategic partner and is committed to expanding bilateral ties based on shared interests and values, particularly in defending multilateralism and mutual respect.

Over the last 80 years, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, President Ho Chi Minh, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and Paty General Secretaries, the Government has remained united and unanimous, exerting relentless efforts in pursuit of “national independence linked with socialism” and the people’s well-being, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.

In a press release issued by the Venezuelan Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, the Government emphasised that the date of August 19, 1945, is a historic milestone reflecting the will and determination of the Vietnamese people, demonstrating to the world their indomitable spirit and steadfast resolve to master their own destiny.
