In 2021, Kupp had one of the greatest wide receiver seasons in NFL history. That year, he led the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16) in the regular season. His receptions and receiving years were both the second-most in NFL history. The Rams went on to win Super Bowl LVI that year over the Cincinnati Bengals.
On Wednesday, it was announced Kupp was released from the Rams.
"Eight years of incredible memories," Kupp posted on X on Wednesday. "We talked often about the Rams being back in L.A. and how we would grow to be something special here ... Thank you, L.A., for welcoming my family with open arms and allowing us to grow here.
"Next chapter starts now. Best is yet to come."
The two other teams that have been reported to make a push for Kupp are the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks.
In 2024, Kupp caught 67 passes for 710 yards and 6 touchdowns through 12 games and 11 games. He hasn't played more than 12 games in a year since his historic 2021 season.
