Reality TV personality Gemma Collins has hinted that she's lost "an absolute fortune" betting on horse racing while attending the Cheltenham Festival for the first time this week. The 44 year old was among the star-studded guests on the second to last day of the event in Cheltenham today, spotted enjoying a race alongside actor Danny Dyer, 47, at the Gloucestershire racecourse.

As the day wound down, the former TOWIE star confessed that none of her bets had paid off. In an interview with ITV Racing at the venue, Gemma shared her experience: "I've never been to Cheltenham before and Paddy, the owner of Paddy Power, invited me so I couldn't turn him down. Obviously I love the Irish and the Irish love me."

Despite her losses, she maintained it had been "a great day," telling ITV: "I've lost an absolute fortune. None of the horses I bet on won but it's been amazing."

She also revealed her betting strategy, saying: "If I hear a name or see a name and get a vibe about it, then I will take a punt and put a bet on." Later in the conversation, she said: "I think gambling at the races can be so much fun. Safe gambling, obviously - gambling awareness.", reports the Mirror.

Gemma wrapped up her interview with a message to the audience: "It is not just for men - like women can come to these places and have a great day. It's not all about the men!".

The ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant wore a light blue ensemble consisting of a matching top and trousers, topped off with a coordinated cape. To complete her look, Gemma chose a fascinator adorned with a bow.

She took to Instagram to share her day and said: "Absolute pleasure to be with [Paddy Power]."

In her post, she also tagged the brand, the festival, and the Jockey Club, which organises the event. Her fashion choice earned praise from numerous fans in the comment section. One admirer exclaimed: "Wow love this on you."

Another chimed in: "Absolutely stunning." A third added: "Absolutely beautiful Gemma. Have a lovely weekend."

However, not everyone was pleased, as one user questioned: "Supporting horse racing? In 2025? Girl ..." and another pointed out: "Wait a minute aren't you an animal rights activist."
