Crocked Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus is earning more money than any other Chelsea player - despite only completing 90 Premier League minutes on three occasions this season.
It was recently revealed that the Blues commanded the most expensive squad of players in football history, with a value of £1.4 billion. While Chelsea players are certainly well compensated, the salary bill at Stamford Bridge does not hit the same unprecedented heights as their squad value.
The differences in wages between Enzo Maresca's and Mikel Arteta's side can be seen in Jesus' salary. The ex-Manchester City forward is a key player for the Gunners, but his campaign has been disrupted by injuries.

Arteta also appeared to prefer Kai Havertz's expertise up front to Jesus' creative industriousness. Nevertheless, Jesus would be Chelsea's highest earner if he was on the blue side of West London.
According to Spotrac, Jesus earns a whopping £13.78m per year, equivalent to a weekly salary of £265,000. Only Havertz, who departed Chelsea to join Arsenal in the summer of 2023 in a £65m deal, earns more than Jesus.
The Brazilian's earnings trump that of any other Blues' player. Chelsea captain Reece James is his closest competitor with a weekly salary of £250,000, equivalent to an annual pay-packet of £13m per year.
The mind-boggling figures become even more painful for Arsenal fans when realising that Jesus has only completed a full 90 minutes on three occasions this year. He completed his first full game in the Premier League during the 3-0 home victory over Nottingham Forest in November.

Before a torn cruciate ligament ruled him out for the rest of the campaign, Jesus appeared to have earned Arteta's faith, as the Spaniard deployed him for the full 90 in the 3-1 away victory over Brentford and the 1-1 draw away to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Before his injury, Jesus contributed seven goals and two assists in 27 appearances, with only 13 of those coming in the starting eleven. It's the kind of statistics which highlights Arsenal's decision making when it comes to their personnel in the attacking areas.
Injuries have blighted the Gunners' campaign with Jesus, Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli each suffering long-term knocks.

In January, Arsenal were linked with moves for Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon and Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig, but no move looked close to happening.
The title race is also seemingly over with Liverpool's victory over Southampton extending the Merseysiders' lead at the top of the table to 15 points. The only silver-lining of another frustrating campaign is that Arsenal remain in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are in a tense race for the top four and hold a slim two-point lead over Manchester City, who are in fifth position.
