Things got heated in the latest instalment of BBC’s The Apprentice as Lord Sugar made an unexpected firing. On Thursday night, viewers saw the remaining candidates create a banking app and money box for children between the ages of six and nine.
On one side, Jordan decided to nominate himself to take on the role of project manager whereas Frederick was in charge on the other side. However, it seemed as though there were mishaps on both sides.
Jordan’s group ended up having mixed messages, which sparked a lack of synergy between the money box team and the app team. On the other hand, Frederick’s group was all fun and no-facts.

When it came down to pitching their ideas to three investors, things took a turn for the worse for Frederick’s team, who decided to create a dog money box and game, which they felt was too young for the target audience.
In the boardroom, Jordan discovered his team was successful. Tim Campbell told the candidates that although the investors felt a lack of synergy between the branding and app, all three of them wanted to invest a total of £465,000 for further development.
Overcome with emotion, Jordan was seen holding back tears in the boardroom, thrilled that he had got his first win as a project manager.

Sadly, none of the investors were interested in the money box or app that Frederick’s team created, making them the losing group for this week. Shocked, Lord Sugar said: “Really?! Not a penny? b***dy hell.”
When it came down to asking who Frederick wanted to bring back into the boardroom with himself to potentially get fired, he told Lord Sugar it would be Dean and Melica.
However, the business mogul had other ideas, in an unexpected twist, Lord Sugar said: “It seems like completely disjointed organisation you were running there, completely disjointed.
“So look, my gut feeling tells me that you’ve got a lot to answer Frederick. I don’t like wasting my time. I think you led a bad team, I think the dynamic of the team is terrible at the moment, listening to everybody.

“I think that you missed an opportunity of £1.1 million, you got no orders at all, so Frederick, you’re fired.”
In the taxi, Frederick said: “I do think that it was a mistake but if Lord Sugar ever needs any public speaking advice, he knows who to get in touch with.”
Although Frederick wasn’t the only person who was leaving the competition after failing in the task, after calling all of the candidates back into the room, Lord Sugar dealt a double-firing when he told Keir it was the end of the road for his time on the show.
