BC, Tallinn, 11.09.2020.Print version
By a decision adopted on Thursday, the Estonian government eased valid movement restrictions for people arriving in the country from Finland, Latvia and Lithuania effective Monday, Sept. 14, reported LETA/BNS.

Under the new rules, the SARS-CoV-2 infection rate starting from which the requirement of self-isolation for 14 days is applied to people arriving from these three countries is 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the past 14 days.

The new regulation steps into force from Monday, Sept. 14, spokespeople for the government said on Friday.

The requirement for self-isolation for people arriving from member states of the European Union and countries of the Schengen area depends on whether in the country that the person arrives  from the ratio of inhabitants infected with the virus in the past 14 days is higher than 16.

Under the valid regulation of the government, the restriction on movement is not applied if in the country that the person comes from the cumulative number of SARS-CoV-2 positive cases in the past 14 days is from 16 to 17.6 per 100,000 inhabitants and the ratio has not increased in the past two weeks.

Under the decision of the government adopted on Thursday, the maximum infection rate concerning Finland, Latvia and Lithuania is raised to 25.
